This is a purpose built loudspeaker with the new home cinema requirements in mind where front, rear and centre loudspeakers are of a full range specification unlike Pro-Logic where the rear  and centre speakers are not. AVS utilises twin bass units and a 19mm soft dome tweeter which are magnetically shielded to be used in close proximity to a television screen. For home cinema use, AVS is supplied in sets of 5 units. This gives balance between front, rear and centre channels. This should also ease set-up as all AVS units are identical.

Although an Audio Visual unit, AVS is no slouch as a conventional loudspeaker for Hi-Fi use either. With an impedance of 10 ohms, almost any amplification should be able to drive it adequately. AVS is priced at £199.00 for single units or £995.00 in sets of 5. Well worth auditioning if you want a balanced sound that doesn't cost the earth.
